Better organize your top candidates using our Pre-Qualifying Score feature. Easily identify candidates who answer your preselected qualifying questions correctly.

By default, prequalifying scoring is turned off but can be enabled at any time. To turn on this feature, navigate to your Jobs tab > Edit Job > Pre-Qualifying Questions.

Next to each question you will be able to switch scoring on or off using the scoring toggle. This can be enabled for any Yes or No and Multiple-choice questions. Scoring cannot be enabled for text field questions.

When scoring is enabled on a multiple-choice question, you must select one or more answers that you consider to be qualifying answers. Each qualifying answer is worth 10 points.

Once you have your Prequalifying questions with the qualifying answers selected, click “Post Ad” to save.

From the Candidates tab, you can opt-in to view each applicant's Pre-Qualifying Score. Select the “Manage Columns” menu on the far right and ensure “Pre-Qualifying Score” has the blue check mark highlighted.

You can hoover over the score to preview the question responses and scoring.

  • Candidates with a score of 0-30% will appear in red

  • Candidates with a score of 31-60% will appear in yellow

  • Candidates with a score of 81-100% will appear in green

  • Manually added candidates or those who applied to a position before the PQQ was added will display “not answered.”

  • Candidates who applied and answered before the scoring was enabled will display “not scored.”

*Pro Tip:

If there is one specific question you value most, consider scoring only that question. This allows you to quickly assess candidate responses from the Candidates tab without needing to open individual profiles.

For example, if you score five questions and a candidate answers three correctly, the system will display a score of 60%. However, it won’t indicate which questions were answered correctly until you view the candidate’s full profile.

By scoring just one key question, you’ll see a clear result:

  • 100% indicates the candidate answered correctly

  • 0% indicates the candidate answered incorrectly

This approach makes it easier to screen for your most important qualification at a glance.
