You can now ask your candidates pre-qualifying questions when they apply to your jobs. You can ask up to 5 pre-qualifying questions per role, and candidates' answers will feed directly into their Candidate Profile within your IdealTraits account. Let me show you how it works:
Creating Pre-Qualifying Questions
1. Once you have created a new job ad, or accessed a Draft, you will have the option to Save Draft or Continue.
2. Select Continue to create your Pre-Qualifying Questions.
3. The next screen you will see will house your Pre-Qualifying Questions. There will be a recommended question included for you, but you can always use the Trash Can icon to delete it.
4. To customize your Pre-Qualifying Questions, click Add New. You will also be able to see the number of questions you have already selected.
5. Choose up to 5 total questions by selecting Generate with AI or Choose from Templates.
When you choose Generate with AI, the Pre-Qualifying Questions will be created utilizing your first 1 - 5 Requirements listed in your job ad, depending on the number of Pre-Qualifying Questions you have remaining for that ad.
If you Choose from templates, you can customize the questions utilizing the templates provided in the pop-up in a number of different topics.
6. This pop-up will keep track of how many questions you have selected in the bottom right corner of the screen. Remember, you can select up to 5.
Can't find the question you are looking for in the templates? You can let us know using the link at the bottom left of the screen. Your suggestions will be passed to our Product Team to be reviewed for EEOC compliance and implemented if possible.
8. Once you have selected up to 5 questions, click Insert in the bottom right corner of the screen.
You can change the order of your Pre-Qualifying Questions by dragging the 9 dots to the left of each question.
9. Now that you have selected your Pre-Qualifying Questions, you have the options to Save Draft or Post Ad.
That's it! Candidates will be prompted to answer the questions you have selected when they apply to your job ad.
Reviewing Pre-Qualifying Questions:
To review candidate responses, navigate to the Candidates Tab and click their Name to enter their Candidate Profile.
In the Candidate Profile Menu on the left-hand side of the screen, you'll see Pre-Qualification. Click this tab. to review a Candidate's answers.
If a Candidate has not completed the Questions, you will see this message:
Keep in mind, not all job boards support pre-qualifying questions at this time, so don't worry if a candidate has not completed them. Check their source to see if they have applied from a smaller job board, and you may have to reach out to them to ask these questions during a phone screen.
