So you’re ready to set up your Indeed Sponsorship, but you aren’t too sure how it works. Let me break it down for you.

First, you want to set your budget. Click here to learn more about starting your budget. Our Indeed Sponsor Integration will suggest a recommended budget, or you can choose your own. Keep in mind, you can update the budget at any time!

If you need help coming up with a customized budget, check out this blog post: https://idealtraits.com/blog/what-should-my-sponsorship-budget-be/

How it Works:

When you begin your sponsorship with Indeed, you are essentially giving them permission to charge you for the sponsorship of your job ad to a specified amount, your maximum budget. Think of it as an IOU.

Indeed charges for sponsorship based on the number of clicks and the number of applies your ad actually gets during the sponsorship window. The price per click and the price per apply can vary based on a number of factors, but you can always check the sponsorship analytics in your IdealTraits account or in your Indeed account once the campaign has been running for a few days. Here you will be able to see more information about the price per click and price per apply.

How Do I Know My Sponsorship Window?:

When you set your sponsorship budget, the system will ask you if you’d like to sponsor your ad for a One Time Campaign or Monthly Recurring Campaign. If you select One Time Campaign, you are given the option to sponsor for 15 days or 30 days. This is your sponsorship window.

How Do I Know My Budget Will Last the Whole Window?:

Indeed will take your maximum budget into account and will charge you up to an average daily amount based on this max budget. For example, if you were to sponsor your ad for $1500 for 15 days, your ad would spend up to $100 per day.

What if I Want to Sponsor for More Than 30 Days?:

This is when you will select Monthly Recurring Campaign. If you select this option, Indeed will automatically restart your set maximum budget at the end of 30 days, or when your maximum budget is met.

When Will I Be Billed for the Sponsorship?:

Because Indeed charges based on clicks and applies that your ad actually gets, they will not bill you for the sponsorship until your sponsorship ends, you archive your job ad, you hit your maximum budget limit, or your ad spends $500 (if your max budget is set higher than $500). This means you aren’t paying up front, but you’re paying for the exact traffic your ad receives during the sponsorship window.

How Do I End My Sponsorship Early?:

In a perfect world, you find your ideal candidate before you’ve spent your full sponsorship budget. Whether this is the case, you have too many applicants coming in and want to slow things down, or things have changed and you’d rather not spend extra money on sponsoring the ad, you can end the campaign at any time.

If you end your sponsorship early, you will only be charged by Indeed for the portion of your budget that you actually spent up to the point the sponsorship was stopped. You can end your budget at any time by simply Archiving your sponsored ad. Click here to learn how to archive a job ad.
