Managing Job Slots

This article explains how to manage your job slots in IdealTraits, including how to view availability and purchase additional slots when needed so you can keep your job postings active without interruption.

Job slots allow you to post and activate job ads within your IdealTraits platform. If you have available job slots, you can create and activate new job postings immediately. If you’ve used all available slots, you’ll be prompted to purchase additional ones.

This guide walks you through how the process works.


What Is a Job Slot?

A job slot represents one active job posting at a time.

If all job slots are in use, you will need to add a new job slot before activating another job.


If You Have Job Slots Available

  • The “Add New” job ad button will be visible.

  • You can create and activate a new job without interruption.


If You Have NO Job Slots Available

  • The “Add New” button will be hidden.

  • A “+ Job Slot” button will appear in its place.

  • You will be required to purchase a job slot before posting a new job.

Option 1: Add a Job Slot from the Jobs Page

If you do not have available job slots:

  1. Navigate to your Jobs List.

  2. Click the “+ Job Slot” button.

  3. A pop-up window will appear prompting you to add a job slot.

  4. Select the number of job slots you’d like to purchase.

  5. Confirm your selection to complete the purchase.

Once completed, your new job slot(s) will be immediately available for use.


Option 2: Add a Job Slot While Building a Job

If you attempt to activate a job without available job slots:

  1. Build your job as usual.

  2. Click “Continue” in the Job Builder.

  3. If no job slots are available, a pop-up will automatically appear.

  4. Select the number of job slots you’d like to add.

  5. Complete the purchase.

  6. Continue activating your job.

    This ensures you never lose progress in the job-building process.


Managing Your Job Slots

To review or manage your current job slots:

  1. Go to your Jobs section.

  2. Click the “Manage” button.

  3. You’ll be taken to the Job Slot Manager, where you can:

    • View your current job slot allocation

    • Add additional slots as needed


Important Notes

  • Job slots are required to activate new job postings.

  • If all slots are occupied, you must purchase an additional slot before activating another job.

  • Newly purchased job slots are available immediately after confirmation.
