A timeline of IdealTraits. Who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

Origin 

Our company, IdealTraits, was founded when it became clear there was a real need to find just the right people to work in insurance agencies. Based on this demand, 3 Allstate agents decided to share their knowledge with others and IdealTraits was born in August 2012. Our online personality assessments are instant & unique from other companies because IdealTraits assessments are insurance industry-specific.   

2013

Due to high demand, in October 2013, we launched the “core” personality assessment.   It is our web-based platform, which is how we view assessments today. This allowed our customers to go beyond the resume by making it easier for them to identify the ideal candidate.    

2014

In March 2014, we introduced a “complete hiring solution” for agencies. Now agents are able to create and post job ads in their IdealTraits account that are specific to their needs to attract the right candidates.

2015

In February 2015, IdealTraits enhanced the candidate experience by switching to a “Mobile First” framework. This allows the candidate to take the assessment on any mobile device. It is supported by several browsers and is easy to follow. 

2016 

  • In January 2016, just a few short years after opening, IdealTraits hit an incredible Milestone. More than 3000 agents across the country were trusting the IdealTraits assessments to help them find the right people to work in their agencies.

  • In March 2016, we launched IdealRecruit to help agents with their recruiting needs. Our recruiters screen, access, and interview candidates. Once a qualified candidate is identified, they are sent to the agent for the final interview. We have over 500 successful engagements with agents across the country.

2017  

  • In March 2017, Central Michigan University conducted an independent study of the Idealtraits Assessments. Our assessments were given “Above Expectations” in reliability and validation during the course of their study.

  • In November 2017, IdealTraits was awarded the assessment contract for Allstate National Recruiting.  

2018

In February 2018, 1 million assessments had been processed through the IdealTraits system.  

2019

  • 2019 was a big year for IdealTraits. Our team grew in numbers. We revamped our ATS platform giving it a modern look & making it more user-friendly for our clients. Adding exciting new features & integrations such as the Offer Letter, SMS Candidate Bot, Custom hiring stages & Calendly.

  • IdealRecruit was renamed and is now known as IdealTraits Talent Acquisition. A team that is part of our newly added, Professional Services Department.

2020

  • In early 2020 IdealTraits became a Star Partner with Indeed. This means that IdealTraits has seamless integration with Indeed and we are recognized by the top job board in the world that our platform contains everything an insurance agent needs to find exceptional talent for their office.

  • To better assist our customers who continued to hire during COVID-19, we integrated our platform with Zoom. In a short time frame, we designed & developed features throughout our platform allowing users to connect their Zoom account & easily schedule video interviews with candidates.

  • Launched customizable career pages and job landing pages.

  • Added the Zapier Integration to our suite of add-ons.

2021

  • Launched IdealTraits' first job boards: BIGiJobs and InsuranceJobs.

  • Partnered with Farmers Insurance to build the Agency Staff Candidate Tracking System.

  • Advanced in our partnership with Indeed by launching the Indeed Sponsored Jobs Integration.

2022

  • Introduced IdealTraits' new branding and new user interface!

  • Partnered with Verified First, adding our first background check company to our suite of add-ons.

  • Began piloting our next venture, IdealInterviews.
